Short cut from: Pisa:   get off  Pisa airport and follow blue signs for Firenze – indications are also reading ” Fi-Pi-Li” – it’s a four-lane toll free speedway –
If you instead follow the  green  signs you will get on the toll paying official autostrada A1 leading you from Pisa  direction Florence, passing Lucca and Pistoia – then you get on the A1 coming from Bologna (here you may almost always expect traffic jams)  – from A1 take exit Certosa/ Siena then further on San Donato and then follow details are as above
So if you  do follow the blue signs for Firenze an autostrada will lead you on the fourlane tollfree speedway Florence – Empoli – follow this road until exit Ginestra  (shortly after the Esso gas station)  – get off there and follow signs for San Casciano – at San Casciano follow blue signs for Siena – get on the four lane speedway always direction Siena – get off at exit San Donato – turn left, cross bridge and follow road direction Castellina in Chianti – after approx. 10 km first signs for Poderi Val Verde and Casanova di Ricavo–
From Rome: interstate A1 exit Bettole – direction Siena – at Siena take speedway towards Florence –  exit Monteriggione – turn right towards Castellina Scalo – pass town – then turn right towards Castellina in Chianti – once arrived there – turn left – pass town - at major intersection take  left road leading to San Donato in Poggio , Poggibonsi respec. Tenuta di Ricavo etc. .- roads leads you around Castellina – on your right signs for San Donato, turn there and then again turn to yout left always following San Donato -  about 2 km after towns end first indication signs for “Poderi Val Verde” and “Casanova di Ricavo” – turn to the  right at cypress guarded entrance to property
If you miss Monteriggione exit keep going until exit San Donato and follow indications as above.
Coming from Greve: arriving at Castellina in Chianti at major intersection -  from here follow indication described above
Pls park on the respective parking lots - do not enter into the housing complex without permission of the owner (for unloading when arriving  or loading when departing only)  and never park within the housing complex!!! 
Nearest Train stations: Poggibonsi – 30 min taxi transfer or Castellina Scalo – 15 min taxi transfer
