The oldest house of the property, visibily built
with quarystone of all dimension found by the farmers when clearing
woodlands and macchia slopes to prepare land for vineyards and
olivegroves.
Stones that traditionally were use for building houses or
terrassed-walls. Its original use was as stable for sheep and
goats and as hayloft. |

All rooms on the groundfloor still have their arched
terracotta ceilings and small romantic windows and narrow doors are proof
for exstables. The original local grey sandstone stairs leading up to the loft
with its very high beam ceiling (typical for haylofts )
as well as the doorways of both entrances have been trodden-down by
thousands of feed over the centuries.
A fantastic house with its own history, lots of charme - perfect for
a large familiy or 2 couples with children. The huge acacia tree -
who has given the house its name - as well as a pergola with a vine
of at least 100 years with delicious white grapes - offer additional
shade. |
